This is a brand new trip to the beautiful lakeside town of Canandagua, NY! We will stop for a visit at Sonnenberg Garden & Historic Mansion State Park and spend the afternoon at the Waterfront Art Festival.

Followed by an international film discussion over dessert and beverage.

Maple Sugar Tour at Cummings Nature Center
Saturday, April 5. 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
Take an hour's drive through the country to Cumming's Nature Center. Walk through the wooded grounds to discover how maple syrup is made, enjoy the hands-on displays, and try to tap a tree yourself. Learn what role maple syrup has played in early American history. Enjoy a hearty breakfast with other students and RIC members. Non-refundable charge $10 for adults and $7 for children.

County Western Line Dancing with Chili and Cornbread Supper

If you enjoyed the Square Dance, don't miss the fun of Line Dancing - you
don't even need a partner. An instructor will teach you everything you need
to know for this popular American dance form. It is best to wear smooth
soled shoes or boots which slide on a dance floor, not tennis shoes.
Trip to Corning

All day trip to Corning Museum of Glass and Rockwell Museum of Western Art. The Corning Museum of Glass is the world's largest glass museum, featuring 35 centuries of glass artistry, live glassblowing demonstrations, Sandblasting Workshop and an International Glass Market. The Rockwell Museum of Western Art features the best of American Western and Native American art. Non-refundable $15 fee includes bus, lunch, museum admissions and tours, and Sandblasting workshop. Deadline for reservation with payment is Jan. 23.

Fall Hike to Letchworth (known as the Grand Canyon of the East!)

Ride a charter bus into the country to enjoy the Fall color, gather in the parking lot for lunch, then hike to see several spectacular waterfalls. Wear study shoes to hike, for it is rocky and sometimes wet. Non-refundable $5 charge required for bus and luncheon reservation by Oct. 10 in ISO. Last year the bus filled, so reserve early. 10:00 am- 4:30pm.

An entertaining and educational look through the lens of Stephen Spinder,
including the traditional folk music and dance culture of Hungary.
The program will feature Stephen Spinder, a professional photographer,
dancer, and Rochester native living in Budapest, Hungary for over a decade.
Stephen will talk about his interesting and incredibly unique 15-year
history and travel through Transylvania and his city-life in Budapest.
Stephen has recently published two fine-art photography books.
Followed by a reception and book signing.
The event is free and open to the public, however, registration is required
by Monday, October 22. Call or email the RIC office.
Mt. Hope Cemetery Tour & Afternoon Tea
