The World's Image Centre
Rochester earned this name from its unique and impressive history in photography, xerography, and optics and its continued lead in manufacturing/research activities as well as outstanding educational resources in both traditional and evolving imaging science.

Greater Rochester is the third largest metropolitan area in New York State with a population of over 1,000,000. The City of Rochester is the 69th largest city in the US. Located on the southern shore of Lake Ontario, it is the western gateway to the Finger Lakes Region and the Seaway Trail.

Attractions
The historic Erie Canal traverses the area and can be viewed from bicycle and walking paths as well as from tour boats and paddle wheelers.
